                 Creativity and innovative thinking are essential life skills that can be developed. The focus for this is that the students understand how to fully process deep thoughts.

 

 

Procedures (with general times)

       Prior knowledge: Students learned information about the artist and the way that the art was created.

       Activities/Centers:  Students will watch a video on the artist as well as do an activity that is inspired by the artist works. 

       Closure: Students will be able to say who the artist and explain what the artwork is.

                 Students will cut out different shapes and form them on a black sheet of construction paper making their own masterpiece that is inspired by Henri Matisse.

                 Students will create a Dot Project using different paint colors and blending them until having the entire page covered and creating a beautiful masterpiece inspired by Peter Reynolds.

       Closure: Students will be given a quiz to review the information that has been given.
