Hello. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Yolanda Hutchison, and I am a 4th grade Special Education teacher at Brookhaven Elementary School. I am beginning my third year in the Brookhaven School District, and I am beginning my 21st year in education. For seventeen years, I was an educator in Alabama. I spent 9 years teaching Math/Science and 8 years in School Counseling. I re-located to Mississippi in July of 2014. I have worked as a Special Education teacher for 3 years. I love being part of the Ole Brook Family! The traditions and love of the Brookhaven Community for their schools are wonderful.
I am married to Terrill Hutchison, and we have five wonderful children. Whitley is 25. She lives and teaches in Florida. We have two seniors, Noah Kennedy and Chasity Hutchison. Then, rounding out our family is Trenton, 14, and Kenadi, 13. Chasity, Trenton, and Kenadi are part of the Brookhaven School District.
I obtained my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education (Math/Physics) and my Master's in School Counseling Degree from the University of North Alabama. I hope to begin my Doctoral program in Special Education at the end of August. Please keep me in your prayers.
Proud to be Ole Brook!!!!!!
