The spirit of Christmas is in the air at BES! Last month our students generously donated items to meet our goal and prepare 135 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Now, we are hoping to demonstrate our Christmas spirit by collecting bags of dry dog or cat food to donate to the Brookhaven Animal Rescue League (B.A.R.L). The volunteers there feed Purina brand food at the shelter, but they will accept donations of any kind of dry food. There is always a need for puppy food and rolls of paper towels are also greatly appreciated.
We will start collecting the bags of food on December 1st and continue through December 19th. We will pile the bags of food around the Christmas tree in the foyer so all the children can see the difference they are making for our four legged friends. Please join us in providing help for these animals.
